FIVE fun facts about Kristina
- Special skills I take an odd amount of pride in: I can perform the entire “Thriller” dance (my on-demand party trick), bake a mean German Pancake, and Tetris a suitcase or car trunk like it’s a competitive sport.
- My godfather was the real-life inspiration for Mr. Miyagi and even worked as Pat Morita’s stunt double throughout the Karate Kid film series. So thanks to the Cobra Kai hit show, my old stories of hanging with the cast actually earned street cred with my kids!
- During middle school, I’d often wear saddle shoes, swing dance, and call an oldies radio station to request songs like “Cookie, Cookie, Lend Me Your Comb.” (Because that’s totally normal…right?)
- I grew up with a karaoke room in our house (because Asian), my go-to songs being “These Boots are Made for Walkin'” and “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.”
- Random things I collect: Venetian masks, playbills/programs from almost every show I’ve ever seen, and super soft blankets (the fuzzier the better!)
